Okay, I really hated case 4, and hated how it basically merged with case 5. It did a good job of summarizing info(helpful because I often took 5-6 day breaks while playing) and explaining new things.

Although they were too easy, I really liked the "thought process" parts that the 3 main characters had. Every time Announce the Truth played I got chills. After playing the demo, I was disappointed in the quiet themes but the songs in the later cases really shine. I don't recall ever having to do this in the previous games but it's been a while. If you choose the wrong one, you had to press again, or wait for them to ask you to change it again. It was also sometimes too easy it became difficult, like when they ask you to choose between two statements to add to their testimony. There were way too many flashbacks where I was thinking "ugh, I KNOW, game!" and it seemed like right before you had to present evidence they would tell you an unnecessary hint in the text, which made me feel less rewarded when I had to "guess" the correct evidence. Speaking of difficulty, I really felt babied during the trials. I thought with the 3D movement investigating would get harder but it turned out to be the exact opposite. It was noticeably easier than the previous games, and while I didn't like investigating every room and getting lost in the previous games, it still was somewhat of a challenge. Story-wise, I'd rank it just under my favorite in the series, T&T. Just click the icon below.I know I'm late to the party, but I finally beat the game. DUAL DESTINIES SOUNDTRACK SERIES
Apollo may have originated in a less than stellar game, but this theme partly proves that he deserves to be a mainstay of the series and I can’t wait to see him take centre stage once more in the next game. It’s triumphant, it’s heroic when Apollo mentally declares “Here comes Justice,” you believed it. He had just as much skill as Phoenix Wright himself, and he was going to prove it. It gave you the impression that, despite his own “wackiness” and typical bumbling you’d expect from a defense attorney in these games, he could be taken seriously. It’s grown along with Apollo, thanks to the use of actual instruments. I barely remembered what his original theme sounded like, but this redo not only retrieved that memory from the darkest corner of my mind, it also did him… ahem, justice. Not only did he come back, but he got a truck-tonne of personal development, which has seriously helped his popularity (apparently he’s the most popular character in Japan) and won over several of his naysayers.įor me personally, the moment I was won over by Apollo was probably when this theme kicked in during a trial. While his game is arguably the weakest in the series and the least popular (regardless what fans of it say), I didn’t want him to just be swept under the rug and for Capcom to pretend he didn’t exist. Despite that, when Dual Destinies was announced, I hoped that he would return. He was uninteresting and underdeveloped, and the fact that he wound up being completely overshadowed in his own game didn’t help his case. He wasn’t a bad character, per se, but there wasn’t really anything about him that stood out.
